CE Guideline Changes

The New York State Insurance Department has issued new Continuing Education (CE) Guidelines for licenses and CE Providers. 

Of particular notice are the following changes:

• The requirement for licensees to complete at least 50% of their CE credit (7.5 hours) in a classroom setting has been eliminated.

• CE Providers are now required to report the completion of all courses completed by licensees to the NYSID

• All licensees are required to maintain copies of their Course Completion Certificates for a period of 3 years from the date on which the course was completed.

The Insurance Training Institute has taken significant steps to to incorporate the new guidelines with minimal impact on our students.
