Agency Operation Guidelines
(NYCR 208898)   8 HOURS CLASSROOM STUDY

The Agency Operation Guidelines course provides licensees with a broad overview of New York State requirements, errors and omissions concerns and general business best practices necessary for today’s insurance agency owner and professional staff.

The course is provided in a single-day classroom format.  Students are provided with a manual which incorporates materials developed by the Insurance Training Institute in addition to resources published by the New York State Insurance Department, the New York Automobile Insurance Plan, insurance carriers and various industry trade associations.

The Agency Operation Guidelines course addresses important issues from applicable Federal and State Law to insurance regulations and best practices.  The outline provides an intensive 8 hour education program for licensees to use in their daily activities as well as to share with both licensed and non-licensed work associates.

The Agency Operation Guidelines course provides current baseline understanding of general rules for insurance agency owners and their licensed employees.  The course also provides licensed carrier representatives with a greater understanding of the issues which impact consumers in an agency environment.  The materials covered in this course are applicable to all licensees.  A major focus of this course is the review of fundamental laws and rules which all New York State Insurance License holders are subject to.
